For practice networks and groups

One standard across
independent practices.

Every member practice keeps its practice software (PVS), its data and its decisions. meda gives them all the same review: the note from the consultation, every billing code with its evidence, the approval with the doctor.

The problem

What billing looks like across a network.

Different systems everywhere

Every member practice chose its own PVS. Software that asks them to switch fails before it starts.

No shared standard

How completely a practice bills depends on its habits. What was documented and never billed shows up in no PVS.

The network offers, it cannot mandate

Member practices are independent. A standard only takes hold when each practice wants it for itself.

Documentation first

Documented once. The billing follows from it.

The doctor talks to the patient, meda Notes writes it down. The conversation becomes a structured note in German medical language, corrected by keyboard or dictation. Only then does meda Billing look through it for billing codes (Ziffern).

No evening backlog

The note is written during the consultation, not after surgery hours.

ICD‑10‑GM suggested

Diagnoses suggested from the note, for the doctor to confirm.

The same flow in every practice

Whichever PVS a member practice uses.

meda Notes screen for an example patient: the structured note from the consultation, with the ICD-10-GM diagnoses and suggested billing codes beside it

How it works

One review, the same in every member practice.

Every practice keeps its PVS. meda shows what was documented but not billed, with the sentence that supports it, in the same three steps everywhere.

meda Billing screen: the suggested billing codes, each with its quote from the note

Who does what

The team checks. The doctor decides.

The same roles in every member practice. The network offers meda; the work stays in the practice.

Nurses (MFA)

The day’s suggestions in one list, each with its evidence.

Billing

Checking instead of typing. Logins for the whole team are included in meda Billing.

Doctors

The doctor decides every code and approves every note. meda does the searching.

meda Billing cases list for one day: eight patients, four to check, two copied and two synced to the practice software

Specialties

One network, many specialties. One layer for all.

Every specialty brings its own billing codes. meda checks every member practice against the right catalog, and every doctor documents in their own field.

Questions from practice networks

Our member practices use different PVS. Does that work?

Yes. meda works with any PVS. Every practice keeps its system; nobody has to switch.

Why are codes not applied automatically?

Because the decision is the doctor's, in law and in the product. meda suggests and shows the evidence; you approve, reject or mark it unsure. Only then does a code enter your PVS.

What happens in a plausibility audit (Plausibilitätsprüfung, § 106d SGB V)?

Every approved code stays linked to its note and the supporting ICD‑10‑GM diagnosis, in every member practice. When the KV asks, the practice can show the code, the note, the diagnosis and the approval. More on Security.

Does meda work for our specialty?

meda already works across many specialties: from general practice and internal medicine to cardiology, pulmonology, rheumatology and gynecology, and on to neurology, psychiatry, dermatology, urology, orthopedics and ENT. More are added all the time. Talk to us and we'll show you what meda can do in your field today.

Does the network see its member practices’ data?

No. Each practice sees only its own review and keeps control of its data. Every code is decided by the treating doctor in that practice.

How does a network offer come about?

In conversation, not through a form. Talk to the founders and we work out the model together. Each practice decides for itself whether to join.
